Education

At Educare Little Learners we provide a play-based emergent curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

Quality care and education

Recognising that families are children’s first teachers, and that each child is a unique learner, we partner with families and children to plan experiences and activities that are inclusive of each child’s cultural heritage, ideas, interests, strengths and abilities.

Educators draw on Christian values, educational theories, current research, and best-practice models to develop holistic programs that support children’s sensory, physical, language, cognitive, social and spiritual development.

Children are encouraged to investigate, develop friendships, express their ideas, engage in meaningful small and large group experiences, and contribute to the community. Through trusting relationships, thoughtfully prepared environments and intentional teaching, children gain confidence to explore and play, enabling them to further develop their competence, concentration, independence, and resilience.

At the heart of our educational programs are meaningful connections to the community. Through visits from community partners (e.g., dentists, emergency services, artists, gardeners, volunteers), Centre events and local excursions, children are provided with opportunities to be involved with and influence their world.

Our Rooms

To ensure our learning environments are calm and nurturing and the children feel safe and secure we keep our room sizes small and have additional educators across the service. This enables educators to better support the needs, development and education of the children entrusted to us.

We have four rooms :

Wartu (Wombats) – 6 weeks to 18 months
Kuula (Koalas) – 18 months to 2.5 years
Kardi (Emus) – 2.5 years to 3.5 years
